At the forefront of research into nuclear fusion with its exciting potential as a long term, environmentally friendly energy source for future generations, excellent opportunities now exist for Mechanical Engineers to join them at their site in Oxfordshire. Operating Europe's flagship fusion experiment and other research facilities, these will support the next generation of fusion machines.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the FEA analytical design and procurement of complex mechanical systems, presenting work for peer and design reviews. You will involved in the project management of design and procurement projects.

Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, you will be able to design, procure, commission, operate and maintain the complex systems used on fusion machines on site. You will be required to undertake stress and thermal analysis of existing components, procurement of new components and project management of significant projects aimed at delivering equipment for use on site and elsewhere.
